5th Annual Natural Resource Management (NRM) Symposium 2011

The 5th annual NRM Symposium organized by the Belize MSBC Chapter and the Environmental Research Institute at the University of Belize is being held on March 25th, 2011 at the UB Jaguar Auditorium, Belmopan Campus. The main purpose of the symposium is to bring together researchers, managers, students, government agencies, NGOs engaged in natural resource management in Belize, to share in their findings and evaluate the status of resource management in the country. The theme for this year’s symposium is “Natural Resources Management and Climate Change: opportunities for Belize”.
Presentations will be held under two main themes this year: Natural Resources Management and Climate Change. Abstracts for posters can be on any topic related to natural resource management in Belize OR Climate Change. Deadline for abstracts was February 25th, 2011. Abstracts are being reviewed and final selections will be made by the symposium committee.
The 5th NRM Symposium is an excellent opportunity for students, researchers and NRM managers to share current projects, research findings and create networks for collaboration. Interested persons are being invited to register for the 5th NRM Symposium.

Participants who are not able to make the normal registration can register up to this deadline but note that a late registration fee is charged.
