Joe's Internship Experience
When I started working with the UB ERI and Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association (TASA) I was immediately given a truly rewarding project. I was left in charge of the development of a project that would carry on for years to come and have a significant effect on the monitoring on the Turneffe Atoll. I am truly grateful for the confidence the UB ERI and TASA had placed in me to perform this duty. It is my hope that this project will continue to be improved and carried on far into the future of the organizations.
My days at the UB ERI were filled with meaningful work and friendly company. Morning chats were a welcomed break from my desk and I loved grabbing food with anyone who was interested in getting out of the office for lunch. The times I got to spend on the Caye was truly special for me and is certainly a set of memories I will not soon forget.
It was with a heavy heart that I left the UB ERI, but also with a new found confidence in me and my career path. I wish only the best for the UB ERI and the wonderful people who keep it running and welcome any opportunity to share, collaborate or simply chat in the future.
