Bonnie Young

Biography
Bonnie Young is an MSc by Research Candidate in Geography, working on marine habitat interactions in Belize, under the supervision of Dr Ger Summers and Dr Jake Snaddon. She holds a BSc in Marine Biology from the University of Belize and previously worked as a Marine Biologist at the UB Environmental Research Institute (UB-ERI). Her research focuses on assessing the impacts of seaweed farming on seagrass habitats within the Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve, integrating remote sensing, UAV-based multispectral imagery, and water quality data to evaluate changes in seagrass condition and ecosystem health over time.
