Biography

Anthony Lizama is a Marine Biologist at the University of Belize Environmental Research Institute (UB-ERI) with training in marine ecology, coral reef monitoring, and coastal research. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Belize and has experience in coral restoration, AGRRA benthic and coral surveys, eDNA sampling, GIS-based coastal analysis, and marine field data management. Anthony has worked on coral bleaching assessments, spawning aggregation monitoring, and mangrove research, and has a strong interest in mangrove connectivity, blue economy frameworks, and marine spatial interactions.
