Biography
Jocelyn Zavala is a dedicated and passionate individual who has recently completed her
associate's degree in Natural Resources Management at The University of Belize. Her strong
commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable resource management has been
evident throughout her academic journey. With a genuine love for nature, Jocelyn has actively
participated in various conservation efforts with the UB Environmental Club, demonstrating her
understanding of the importance of preserving our natural world for future generations. She held
the position of treasurer in the executive team of the E-Club. Her previous summer internship
at the UB ERI involved updating the Forest Department's wildlife permit database, and she
continues to collaborate with the UB-ERI on ongoing projects. Her profound appreciation for the
environment fuels her desire to make a positive impact in the field of natural resources
management. As she prepares to complete her bachelor's degree in NRM, Jocelyn is eager to delve deeper into her studies and contribute to the ongoing conversation about environmental
sustainability.
